Par d&eacute;finition &ccedil;a craint, les reformations. &Ccedil;a en revient habituellement &agrave; des bandes de vieux sur le retour cherchant &agrave; se refaire en s&rsquo;auto-singeant devant un parterre d&rsquo;autres vieux en qu&ecirc;te des eux-m&ecirc;mes qu&rsquo;il furent. En plus Corgan n&rsquo;a m&ecirc;me pas r&eacute;ussi &agrave; remeuter ni Iha, D&rsquo;Arcy, pas plus qu&rsquo;Auf Der Maur, dans l&rsquo;histoire. Ce sera lui et Chamberlain, point. Devant le Grand Rex, gros Thom m&rsquo;enfourne son Ipod plein de <em>Tarantula<\/em> pour me mettre dans le bain. Accroche directe. Plut&ocirc;t vaillant, le mort-vivant. Alors qu&rsquo;autour de moi on parle de concerts de 3&nbsp;h, un truc qui n&rsquo;arrive plus jamais de nos jours, insidieusement monte la curiosit&eacute;, vivifi&eacute;e par une demi-heure d&rsquo;attente dans la p&eacute;nombre fun&egrave;bre du requiem monotone qui baigne la sc&egrave;ne. Et puis plus rien.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:right\">[Et c&rsquo;est &agrave; ce moment que de question il ne fut plus.]<\/p>\n<p>Chamberlain d&eacute;barque le premier. Corgan ensuite. D&eacute;guis&eacute; en Grand Strateger tib&eacute;tain, Docs albinos aux pieds. Autour d&rsquo;eux Jeff Schroede (ex-The Lassie Foundation), assorti au chanteur et Ginger Reyes (ex-Halo Friendlies) en bassiste trash de service. Le Grand Rex se l&egrave;ve d&rsquo;un bon. Sur fond de stromboscopes, les Smashing Pumpkins attaquent dans un impossible noir et blanc color&eacute; un <em>United States<\/em> industriel et &eacute;tir&eacute; au possible, d&rsquo;entr&eacute;e de jeu intense et haletant jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; la fin. Puis <em>Today<\/em>, mortel. Avant un <em>Stand Inside Your Love<\/em> spatial tremp&eacute; dans le fuchsia. Pas de reformation d&eacute;bile, non, pas le retour du groupe en lui-m&ecirc;me non plus, mais plut&ocirc;t la r&eacute;surgence de l&rsquo;inspiration d&rsquo;un mentor puisant sa cr&eacute;ativit&eacute; dans la r&eacute;surrection du projet de sa vie. Enterr&eacute;, Zwan. Oubli&eacute;, le solo &eacute;lectro-laborieux. Vir&eacute;s manu-securitari<sup>1<\/sup>, les photographes. La fin de la soir&eacute;e, je la suis par t&eacute;l&eacute;phone. Set acoustique en solo au milieu. Reprise de <em>The End<\/em>. Rappels en pagaille. Trois heures de show. Les coups de fils extatiques s&rsquo;encha&icirc;nent d&egrave;s la sortie. Le concert de l&rsquo;ann&eacute;e, que ceux qui m&rsquo;appellent ont tour &agrave; tour r&ecirc;v&eacute;, esp&eacute;r&eacute;, attendu puis finalement v&eacute;cu. Mes trois titres, eux, auront suffit a r&eacute;veiller un truc en moi, une flamme enterr&eacute;e depuis longtemps, quelque chose qui me rend solidaire de leur excitation.
