{"id":921,"date":"2007-03-23T15:41:46","date_gmt":"2007-03-23T15:41:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.po-l.com\/wordpress\/?p=921"},"modified":"2013-10-23T18:57:40","modified_gmt":"2013-10-23T16:57:40","slug":"depeche-mode-violator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/2007\/03\/23\/depeche-mode-violator\/","title":{"rendered":"Depeche Mode &ndash; Violator"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div id=\"photo\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/autobiodisco\/002b.jpg\"><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<table style=\"border:none\" >\n<tr style=\"border:none\" >\n<td style=\"border:none;vertical-align:middle;width:200px\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/autobiodisco\/003.jpg\" \/><\/td>\n<td style=\"border:none;vertical-align:middle\" >\n<p class=\"specs\"><strong>#2<br \/>\n        Label&nbsp;:<\/strong> Mute<br \/>\n        <strong>Sortie&nbsp;:<\/strong> 19 mars 1990<br \/>\n        <strong>Producteurs&nbsp;:<\/strong> Depeche Mode, Flood<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>Sorti le 19 mars 1990, au moment m&ecirc;me o&ugrave; je commence &agrave; m&rsquo;int&eacute;resser au  groupe, le <em>Violator<\/em> de la s&oelig;ur finit  forc&eacute;ment dans mon lecteur de cassette. <em>Personal  Jesus<\/em> &#8213;&nbsp;sorti en fait 6 mois avant pour faire patienter les fans et assouvir l&rsquo;enthousiasme du groupe face au nouveau son qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;est trouv&eacute;&nbsp;&#8213;  et <em>Enjoy the Silence<\/em> marchent tout de  suite sur moi, celui-ci pour son gros riff lourd, ses rythmiques tribales et aspir&eacute;es  et son refrain marteleur (et <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qhzsxEC-psA\" target=\"_blank\">sa vid&eacute;o d&rsquo;Anton Corbijn<\/a>), celui-l&agrave; pour son riff l&eacute;ger,  ses rythmiques r&ecirc;veuses et son refrain envol&eacute; (et <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Hd7y6A-5uTY\" target=\"_blank\">sa vid&eacute;o d&rsquo;Anton Corbijn<\/a>). &Agrave;  la r&eacute;flexion, mis &agrave; part <em>Money for  Nothing<\/em> de Dire Straits &#8213;&nbsp;qu&rsquo;&agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;poque ma m&egrave;re &eacute;coute toute la  journ&eacute;e dans sa 205&nbsp;&#8213;, la guitoune de <em>Personal  Jesus<\/em> est peut-&ecirc;tre le premier morceau marquant qui m&rsquo;envoie du clavier  vers la guitare, apr&egrave;s tous les trucs new-wave de mon enfance pass&eacute;e et avant tous les  trucs hard-rockeux de mon boutonnage &agrave; venir. Il en va d&rsquo;ailleurs de m&ecirc;me pour eux, puisqu&rsquo;en n&eacute;gociant habilement le virage des ann&eacute;es 90, dans le bas-c&ocirc;t&eacute; duquel beaucoup finiront, Depeche Mode ass&egrave;ne avec <em>Personal Jesus<\/em> le premier coup de  pioche dans la veine rock qu&rsquo;ils exploiteront deux albums  durant, jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; <em>Songs of Faith and  Devotion<\/em>. Pour ma part, cassette fich&eacute;e dans mon baladeur Sony jaune cuv&eacute;e 1986, je n&rsquo;assimile le reste de  l&rsquo;album que peu &agrave; peu, sur quelques ann&eacute;es, &agrave; travers la VHS de <em>Strange Too<\/em> &#8213;&nbsp;qui m&rsquo;ouvre &agrave; la crise mystico-n&eacute;vrotique de <em>Clean<\/em>&nbsp;&#8213; qu&rsquo;on m&rsquo;offre &agrave; No&euml;l 1990 ou en liant progressivement &agrave;<em> Violator<\/em> des bouts de vie&nbsp;: l&rsquo;errance urbaine de <em>Policy  of Truth<\/em> dans les seules vacances proven&ccedil;ales familiales de mon histoire, la  pri&egrave;re nocturne de <em>Waiting for the Night<\/em> dans un minuit de 1993 au milieu de la cour du lyc&eacute;e, l&rsquo;ascension tragique de <em>Halo<\/em>, retrouv&eacute; sur un bootleg de la  tourn&eacute;e <em>Songs of Faith and Devotion<\/em> et  hantant mes nuits d&rsquo;usine de cuivre en 1996. Petit &agrave; petit, le puzzle <em>Violator<\/em> s&rsquo;assemble pi&egrave;ce par pi&egrave;ce, j&rsquo;apprends  &agrave; le conna&icirc;tre, je le visite de fond en comble puis l&rsquo;&eacute;coute de moins en moins,  mais en espa&ccedil;ant de plus en plus les appuis sur avance rapide, les sauts de pistes du CD et les &eacute;victions de ma liste MP3.
