Un sans-faute. The Moonlandingz [projet parall&egrave;le des non moins tordus Fat White Family] livrent l&agrave; un album qui m&ecirc;le sans se planter le c&ocirc;t&eacute; a&eacute;rien de Ghinzu, le chaloup&eacute; des Cramps et la nonchalance des Dandy Warhols. De tous mes albums de 2017, celui-ci est de loin le plus vari&eacute;, celui qui pourrait servir de bande-son de l&rsquo;ann&eacute;e &agrave; lui tout seul. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/interplanetary-class-classics\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>7&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2017\/12\/pochettes\/tall_ships-impressions.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Tall Ships &ndash; <em>Impressions<\/em><br \/>\n <span class=\"petit\">Fatcat Records&ndash; 10 f&eacute;vrier<\/span><\/h2>\n<p> Voil&agrave; un groupe que j&rsquo;aurais d&eacute;couvert juste &agrave; temps, puisqu&rsquo;ils se sont s&eacute;par&eacute;s quelques mois apr&egrave;s la sortie de cet album qui, de leur deuxi&egrave;me, devient de fait leur second. La carri&egrave;re de Tall Ships s&rsquo;arr&ecirc;te donc &agrave; cet assemblage de pop cotonneuse, sorte d&rsquo;Arcade Fire &eacute;th&eacute;r&eacute; ou de Coldplay a&eacute;rien, parfait pour les hivers polonais [je dis s&ucirc;rement &ccedil;a parce que je l&rsquo;ai d&eacute;couvert en triant des photos d&rsquo;hiver polonais, mais c&rsquo;est bien l&agrave; tout l&rsquo;int&eacute;r&ecirc;t de la musique&nbsp;: une fois greff&eacute;e sur certaines images de sa vie, elle leur devient indissociable] ou les routes pluvieuses. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/impressions\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>6&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2017\/12\/pochettes\/findlay-forgotten_pleasures.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Findlay &ndash; <em>Forgotten Pleasures<\/em><br \/>\n    <span class=\"petit\">BMG &ndash; 3 mars<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Celui-ci, on l&rsquo;aura attendu longtemps. Distill&eacute; sous forme de simples entre  2013 et 2016, le rock sensuel et rauque de <em>Forgotten Pleasures<\/em> est au final connu comme le loup blanc quand  il d&eacute;barque en d&eacute;but d&rsquo;ann&eacute;e. Cela en fait une compilation plut&ocirc;t qu&rsquo;un  album, mais cela ne lui enl&egrave;ve rien [apr&egrave;s tout, c&rsquo;est ainsi que l&rsquo;on fonctionnait dans les ann&eacute;es 60]&nbsp;; il suffit de citer <em>Electric Bones<\/em>, <em>Greasy Love<\/em> ou <em>Wild &amp; Unwise<\/em> pour s&rsquo;en  convaincre. Et puis, de toute fa&ccedil;on, en 2017, le chuphle-roi a depuis longtemps chang&eacute;  tous les albums en compilations. Quoi qu&rsquo;il en soit, <em>Forgotten  Pleasures<\/em> cl&ocirc;t parfaitement la premi&egrave;re partie de la carri&egrave;re de Findlay et  montre qu&rsquo;elle en a encore sous le pied. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/forgotten-pleasures\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>5&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2017\/12\/pochettes\/wolf_alice-visions_of_a_life.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Wolf Alice &ndash;<em> Visions of a Life<\/em><br \/>\n     <span class=\"petit\">Dirty Hit &ndash; 29 septembre<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Apr&egrave;s avoir commenc&eacute; l&rsquo;ann&eacute;e par une apparition sur la BO de <em>Trainspotting 2<\/em>, Wolf Alice la termine avec un <em>Visions of a Life<\/em> visitant tous les niveaux du rock, de la ballade po&eacute;tique [<em>After the Zero Hour<\/em>] au punk satur&eacute; [<em>Yuk Foo<\/em>]. Le single [<em>Beautifully Unconventional<\/em>] est imparable, le reste est riche, on pense tout du long &agrave; Marianne Faithfull, Florence Welch ou Karen O et le tout est fichtrement r&eacute;ussi, [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/visions-of-a-life\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>4&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2017\/12\/pochettes\/kasabian-for_crying_out_loud.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Kasabian &ndash; <em>For Crying Out Loud<\/em><br \/>\n   <span class=\"petit\">Columbia &ndash; 5 mai<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Mettons de c&ocirc;t&eacute; la pochette horrible, le titre idiot et le format du vinyle [la version classique est sortie en 12-pouces, alors que le reste de la discographie du groupe est en 10-pouces, &ccedil;a provoque une disparit&eacute; de taille sur mon &eacute;tag&egrave;re et &ccedil;a m&rsquo;&eacute;nerve]. Il nous reste un album de Kasabian &agrave; la hauteur des pr&eacute;c&eacute;dents, quoiqu&rsquo;un peu en retrait. Les singles [<em>You&rsquo;re in Love with a Psycho<\/em> et <em>Ill Ray (The King)<\/em>, pour commencer] sont bons, les hymnes de stade au rendez-vous [<em>Bless This Acid House<\/em> en t&ecirc;te], le quart d&rsquo;heure disco d&rsquo;<em>Are You Looking for Action<\/em> est dr&ocirc;le, <em>Comeback Kids, Put Your Life on It<\/em> et <em>Twentyfourseven<\/em> compl&egrave;tent bien l&rsquo;ensemble. Si <em>Wasted<\/em>, <em>The Party Never Ends, Sixteen Blocks<\/em> et <em>All Through the Night<\/em> n&rsquo;&eacute;taient pas venus assombrir le tout, c&rsquo;&eacute;tait l&rsquo;album de l&rsquo;ann&eacute;e assur&eacute;. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/tag\/for-crying-out-loud\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>3&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2017\/12\/pochettes\/arcade_fire-everything_now_day.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Arcade Fire &ndash; <em>Everything Now<\/em><br \/>\n  <span class=\"petit\">Sonovox &ndash; 28 juillet<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Arcade  Fire appliquent toujours la m&ecirc;me recette&nbsp;: composer des m&eacute;lodies qui ne paient pas  de mine &agrave; la premi&egrave;re &eacute;coute et qui s&rsquo;imposent plus tard, sans qu&rsquo;on s&rsquo;y attende. Sur cet  aspect, <em>The Suburbs<\/em> fut clairement leur coup de ma&icirc;tre&nbsp;:  du fait de l&rsquo;absence de  tube &eacute;vident sur cet album, c&rsquo;est la note de c&oelig;ur qui finissait par s&rsquo;imposer, parfois des semaines apr&egrave;s la premi&egrave;re &eacute;coute. <em>Everything Now<\/em> reprend l&rsquo;id&eacute;e avec plus ou  moins de succ&egrave;s. Sur sa premi&egrave;re moiti&eacute;, tout va bien et se d&eacute;roule comme  pr&eacute;vu&nbsp;: on &eacute;coute une fois ou deux des morceaux qui ne paient pas de mine  et on passe &agrave; autre chose, jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; ce que, un jour, une semaine ou un mois plus  tard, ces virus auditifs &eacute;closent et exigent qu&rsquo;on y revienne. Jusque-l&agrave;, encore une fois, on tient l&rsquo;album de l&rsquo;ann&eacute;e. La deuxi&egrave;me  moiti&eacute;, elle, tombe &agrave; plat, mais se sauve <em>in extremis<\/em> gr&acirc;ce &agrave; une reprise  fabuleusement envol&eacute;e de l&rsquo;<em>Everything Now<\/em> (continued) &ndash;&nbsp;une boucle d&eacute;j&agrave;  ex&eacute;cut&eacute;e dans <em>The Suburbs<\/em>&nbsp;&ndash; du  d&eacute;but, pos&eacute;e l&agrave; en &eacute;panadiplose bienvenue&nbsp;: je sais que j&rsquo;ai &eacute;cout&eacute; tout le  disque, je sais que je me suis ennuy&eacute; d&rsquo;<em>Electric Blue<\/em> &agrave; <em>We Don&rsquo;t Deserve Love<\/em>,  mais le final de l&rsquo;album a tout colmat&eacute;. Arcade Fire ont sorti un bon album de plus.  C&rsquo;est plus que beaucoup, c&rsquo;est moins bien qu&rsquo;eux-m&ecirc;mes, mais cela reste  au-dessus du d&eacute;j&agrave; oubli&eacute; <em>Reflektor<\/em>. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/everything-now-album\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>2&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2017\/12\/pochettes\/japandroids-near_to_the_wild_heart_of_life.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Japandroids &ndash; <em>Near to the Wild Heart of Life<\/em><br \/>\n    <span class=\"petit\">ANTI- &ndash; 27 janvier<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Pas  simple de donner une suite au si r&eacute;ussi <em>Celebration Rock<\/em>. Japandroids s&rsquo;en  sortent toutefois, avec toujours autant de classe et r&eacute;ussissant  une fois de plus &agrave; compacter dans un format r&eacute;duit leur rock taill&eacute; pour les  stades. &Ccedil;a tape, &ccedil;a met des ch&oelig;urs, &ccedil;a s&rsquo;envole, &ccedil;a s&rsquo;alourdit, &ccedil;a tra&icirc;ne par endroit mais,  &agrave; aucun moment, &ccedil;a ne baisse la tension. On tiendrait &ndash;&nbsp;une troisi&egrave;me fois&nbsp;&ndash; l&rsquo;album de l&rsquo;ann&eacute;e si le manque de hit &eacute;vident ne se faisait pas si cruellement sentir. Cela n&rsquo;enl&egrave;ve rien au tout, mais c&rsquo;est un peu dommage. Royal Blood avaient plac&eacute; la barre haut avec leur premier album, ils r&eacute;cidivent cette ann&eacute;e avec celui-ci et enfoncent le clou avec un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/2017\/11\/10\/royal-blood-black-honey-le-zenith-paris\/\">Z&eacute;nith &eacute;poustouflant<\/a> et des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/2017\/08\/23\/les-eurockeennes-de-belfort-jour-4\/\">Eurock&eacute;ennes incroyables<\/a>. Chapeau bas.
