Sans rire.), mais ce n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;en novembre que je ne me suis pris &agrave; son jeu. <em>I Love You, Honeybear<\/em>, est un disque comme je n&rsquo;en &eacute;coute plus assez, un disque qui se pose sur un coin de canap&eacute; et qu&rsquo;on doit laisser s&rsquo;&eacute;tirer pour l&rsquo;appr&eacute;cier pleinement. C&rsquo;est doux, c&rsquo;est dr&ocirc;le, c&rsquo;est lisse et c&rsquo;est bien fait. C&rsquo;est le single, <em>Marks to Prove It<\/em>, qui m&rsquo;a r&eacute;veill&eacute; lorsque je l&rsquo;ai entendu &agrave; la radio. Le reste de l&rsquo;album n&rsquo;a peut-&ecirc;tre rien &agrave; voir, mais cela n&rsquo;a aucune importance&nbsp;: <em>Marks to Prove It<\/em> est ambitieux et inventif avec ses ambiances tour &agrave; tour r&eacute;serv&eacute;es (<em>Kamakura<\/em>) ou envol&eacute;es (<em>Something Like Happiness<\/em>), sautant parfois du s&eacute;pulcral au tourbillonnant dans le m&ecirc;me morceau (<em>Spit It Out<\/em>). Courtney Barnett mise &agrave; part, c&rsquo;est ma d&eacute;couverte pr&eacute;f&eacute;r&eacute;e de l&rsquo;ann&eacute;e. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/marks-to-prove-it-album\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>8&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2015\/12\/pochettes\/chvrches-every_open_eye.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Chvrches &ndash; <em>Every Open Eye<\/em><br \/>\n    <span class=\"petit\">Virgin EMI &ndash; 25 septembre<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>CHVRCHES (prononcer &laquo;&nbsp;chverche&nbsp;&raquo;, sinon ce n&rsquo;est pas dr&ocirc;le) nous fait la m&ecirc;me qu&rsquo;<a href=\"www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/2013\/12\/29\/2013-en-10-albums\/#8\">il y a 2 ans<\/a>, et &ccedil;a marche toujours autant sur moi. Quelques passages &agrave; vide (surtout quand Mayberry laisse le chant &agrave; ses acolytes) mis &agrave; part, <em>Every Open Eye<\/em> encha&icirc;ne des perles pop qui viennent piocher o&ugrave; il faut&nbsp;: Il suffit de voir comment <em>Clearest Blue<\/em> lorgne sur <em>I Just Can&rsquo;t Get Enough<\/em> de Depeche Mode pour le comprendre. La r&eacute;f&eacute;rence est bien l&agrave;, mais se fait assez discr&egrave;te pour qu&rsquo;on ne la remarque pas de prime abord. Et de se trouver &agrave; l&rsquo;aise dans cet album d&egrave;s la premi&egrave;re &eacute;coute, comme si on le connaissait d&eacute;j&agrave;&nbsp;; exactement comme on peut se sentir proche de quelqu&rsquo;un d&egrave;s la premi&egrave;re rencontre simplement parce qu&rsquo;il rappelle un ami de longue date. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/every-open-eye\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>7&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2015\/12\/pochettes\/best_coast-california_nights.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Best Coast &ndash; <em>California Nights<\/em><br \/>\n  <span class=\"petit\">Harvest &ndash; 1<sup>er<\/sup> mai<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Le c&ocirc;t&eacute; pop &eacute;th&eacute;r&eacute;e <em>lo-fi<\/em> des ann&eacute;es 80  de Best Coast m&rsquo;avait jusque-l&agrave; toujours gonfl&eacute;&#8230; et puis <em>California Nights<\/em>. La recette est toujours la m&ecirc;me mais, cette fois-ci, j&rsquo;y go&ucirc;te et je retiens des <em>Heaven Sent<\/em>, des <em>In My Eyes<\/em> et des <em>Feeling Ok<\/em>. Comme quoi, tout arrive. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/california-nights-album\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>6&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2015\/12\/pochettes\/gallagher_noel-chasing_yesterday.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Noel Gallagher&rsquo;s High Flying Birds &ndash; <em>Chasing Yesterday<\/em><br \/>\n    <span class=\"petit\">Sour Mash &ndash; 25 f&eacute;vrier<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&Ecirc;tre fan d&rsquo;Oasis ne me laisse que peu d&rsquo;objectivit&eacute; pour juger ce qui en d&eacute;coule (sauf peut-&ecirc;tre  l&rsquo;&oelig;uvre de Beady Eye). Reste que ce deuxi&egrave;me Gallagher m&rsquo;a laiss&eacute; une bien meilleure impression que le premier, gr&acirc;ce &agrave; des <em>Ballad of the Mighty I<\/em>, <em>You Know We Can&rsquo;t Go Back<\/em>, <em>The Right Stuff<\/em> ou <em>Lock All the Doors<\/em> (recycl&eacute; d&rsquo;Oasis, mais bon) qui font mieux que tenir la route. L&rsquo;apog&eacute;e de la cr&eacute;ativit&eacute; de Noel Gallagher est peut-&ecirc;tre derri&egrave;re lui, mais il s&rsquo;en sort toujours bien mieux que beaucoup d&rsquo;autres et, encore une fois, on trouve ici des morceaux qui resteront. Au bout de 20 ans, c&rsquo;est plut&ocirc;t pas mal. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/tag\/chasing-yesterday\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>5&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2015\/12\/pochettes\/eagles_of_death_metal-zipper_down.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Eagles of Death Metal &ndash;<em> Zipper Down<\/em><br \/>\n     <span class=\"petit\">Downtown Recordings &ndash; 2 octobre<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Un album marque par son contenu, mais &eacute;galement son contexte&nbsp;: comment on l&rsquo;&eacute;coute, dans quelles conditions, avec qui, dans quel &eacute;tat d&rsquo;esprit et dans quelles circonstances. &Agrave; chaque lecture, nous tissons les cordes sur lesquelles tirera plus tard notre m&eacute;moire quand nous r&eacute;entendrons ces titres. Inutile de dire qu&rsquo;il me sera toujours difficile de le r&eacute;&eacute;couter sans penser &agrave; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/2015\/11\/16\/704\/\">ce soir-l&agrave;<\/a>. Rien que pour cela, <em>Zipper Down<\/em> gardera une place &agrave; part dans la discographie d&rsquo;Eagles of Death Metal, alors qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;en avait pas vraiment besoin&nbsp;: six ans apr&egrave;s <em>Hold on<\/em>, <em>Zipper Down<\/em> nous rend des Eagles of Death Metal toujours aussi percutants, goguenards et un peu plus fr&eacute;tillants du croupion, peut-&ecirc;tre gr&acirc;ce &agrave; l&rsquo;import des trois titres emprunt&eacute;s &agrave; l&rsquo;album solo de Hughes, <em>Honkey Kong<\/em>, sorti en 2011. Avec, aujourd&rsquo;hui, un go&ucirc;t particulier en plus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>4&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2015\/12\/pochettes\/dead_weather_the-dodge_and_burn.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>The Dead Weather &ndash; <em>Dodge and Burn<\/em><br \/>\n   <span class=\"petit\">Third Man &ndash; 25 septembre<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Il faut se m&eacute;fier de l&rsquo;eau qui dort. Du fait que la moiti&eacute; de ses titres fut distill&eacute;e en 45 tours cette derni&egrave;re ann&eacute;e et demi et que le groupe ne tourne pas pour le promouvoir,  <em>Dodge and Burn <\/em>est pass&eacute; sous les radars, malgr&eacute; un <em>I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)<\/em> corrosif, un <em>Open Up<\/em> d&eacute;chir&eacute;, un <em>Cop and Go<\/em> enrag&eacute;, et j&rsquo;en passe. On nous ressert bien s&ucirc;r une sauce prise il y a 6 ans, reprise il y a 5, et sans surprise aujourd&rsquo;hui&nbsp;;  mais alors, bordel, quelle sauce. Depuis que les White Stripes sont morts et que les albums solo de Jack White sont devenus aussi passionnants que des vacances &agrave; Nice, il ne nous reste plus gu&egrave;re que The Dead Weather pour r&ecirc;ver un peu. Et jusque-l&agrave;, &ccedil;a marche du feu de dieu. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/tag\/dodge-and-burn\/\">En photos &rarr;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"disque\">\n<h2>3&nbsp;| <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wallendorff.com\/belogue\/photo\/2015\/12\/pochettes\/foals-what_went_down.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>Foals &ndash; <em>What Went Down<\/em><br \/>\n    <span class=\"petit\">Transgressive &ndash; 28 ao&ucirc;t<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Je n&rsquo;ai jamais vers&eacute; dans l&rsquo;hyst&eacute;rie qui entoure ce groupe. Pis, je ne les sentais pas trop, au d&eacute;but &ndash;&nbsp;surtout &agrave; cause de la moche pochette d&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.fr\/search?q=foals+antidotes&amp;tbm=isch\"><em>Antidotes<\/em><\/a>, faut avouer&nbsp;&ndash;. Mais je dois reconna&icirc;tre qu&rsquo;&agrave; force, on finit par s&rsquo;y faire plut&ocirc;t bien. D&rsquo;autant plus que ces gens sont dr&ocirc;les &agrave; prendre en photo et que, maintenant, ils fr&eacute;quentent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=a00CocDCed4\">le m&ecirc;me bar que moi<\/a>. <em>What Went Down<\/em> est une succession de r&eacute;ussites oscillant entre l&rsquo;urgent (<em>What Went Down<\/em>) et le l&eacute;ger (<em>Birch Tree<\/em>), l&rsquo;a&eacute;rien (<em>Give It All<\/em>) et le souterrain (<em>Snake Oil<\/em>), l&rsquo;ensoleill&eacute; (<em>Lonely Hunter<\/em>) et le nocturne (<em>London Thunder<\/em>), parachev&eacute; par l&rsquo;&eacute;blouissant final <em>A Knife in the Ocean<\/em>, qui laisse frissonnant. Du grand art. Son <em>Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit<\/em> reste au ras des p&acirc;querettes, ne s&#8217;embarrasse d&rsquo;aucun chichi (jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; sa pochette) et passe incroyablement bien. Mieux&nbsp;: on imprime tout de suite et on ne se lasse jamais. C&rsquo;est peut-&ecirc;tre l&agrave; son secret, au final&nbsp;: quand on mise sur la l&eacute;g&egrave;ret&eacute;, on &eacute;vite l&rsquo;&eacute;c&oelig;urement. Et &ccedil;a paie. D&egrave;s la premi&egrave;re &eacute;coute, je reprenais des refrains empreints de sagesse comme &laquo;&nbsp;<em>I figured out when I got sober that life just sucks when you get older<\/em>&nbsp;&raquo; (et vice-versa). <em>Punks<\/em> m&rsquo;a mis une claque,  <em>West Coast<\/em> donn&eacute; l&rsquo;envie de me mettre au surf et j&rsquo;ai perdu quelques dixi&egrave;mes de chaque tympan &agrave; force d&rsquo;&eacute;couter <em>Bad Habits<\/em> tr&egrave;s fort dans le m&eacute;tro. FIDLAR me rappellent d&eacute;cid&eacute;ment Black Lips (surtout dans leurs concerts compl&egrave;tement dingues, devenus pour ainsi dire imphotographiables), mais en mieux. Peut-&ecirc;tre parce qu&rsquo;ils chatouillent un peu plus le rock des ann&eacute;es 90 ou parce qu&rsquo;ils sont un peu moins <em>lo-fi<\/em>. Quoiqu&rsquo;il en soit, le tout (le <em>Too<\/em>) est une  r&eacute;ussite rigolarde pourtant plus profonde qu&rsquo;elle n&rsquo;en a l&rsquo;air. On n&rsquo;avait pas aussi bien chant&eacute; le mal-&ecirc;tre d&rsquo;adolescent attard&eacute; depuis des ann&eacute;es, surtout avec autant de conviction et de d&eacute;cibels.
