Le choix du mat&eacute;riau n&rsquo;est pas anodin&nbsp;: des objets en plastique &#8212;&nbsp;mati&egrave;re essentiellement compos&eacute;e de p&eacute;trole&nbsp;&#8212; symbolisant le premier &eacute;l&eacute;ment de toute journ&eacute;e de travail qui se respecte, la premi&egrave;re brique sur laquelle tout travailleur b&acirc;tit quotidiennement ses huit heures de travail&nbsp;: la touillette &agrave; caf&eacute;. L&rsquo;ustensile transmet de la main de son utilisateur au breuvage qu&rsquo;il convoite sa premi&egrave;re initiative dynamique du jour&nbsp;: le remous du m&eacute;lange de liquide et de sucre n&eacute;cessaires au r\u00e9veil matinal du cerveau. Plus qu&rsquo;un signal de d&eacute;part, la touillette &agrave; caf&eacute; est un v&eacute;ritable catalyseur d&rsquo;&eacute;nergie laborieuse.<\/p>\n<p>Le savant enchev&ecirc;trement dans lequel sont associ&eacute;es les touillettes est un choix d&eacute;lib&eacute;r&eacute; de l&rsquo;artiste&nbsp;: passer ses semaines au bureau, d&eacute;buter chaque journ&eacute;e par les m&ecirc;mes rites incessants, tout cela ne se r&eacute;sume-t-il pas, au bout du compte, &agrave; aligner inlassablement, jour apr&egrave;s jour, des cartons entiers de touillettes usag&eacute;es&nbsp;? La nature elle-m&ecirc;me de la cha&icirc;ne, lien oppresseur retenant l&rsquo;honn&ecirc;te homme au travail &#8212;&nbsp;du latin <em>tripallium<\/em>, instrument de torture&nbsp;&#8212; traduit bien l&rsquo;appel au secours de l&rsquo;artiste &agrave; travers son &#339;uvre&nbsp;: &laquo;&nbsp;Je suis un Clamart encha&icirc;n&eacute;&nbsp;&raquo;, semble-t-il clamer &agrave; la face du monde.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&laquo;&nbsp;<em>Travailla la cha&icirc;ne<\/em>&nbsp;&raquo;<\/strong> est le paroxysme de la quintessente expression de l&rsquo;angoisse face &agrave; la vie professionnelle, de la peur de p&eacute;n&eacute;trer dans un tunnel dont on ne voit pas le bout, du souhait d&rsquo;exorcisation des d&eacute;mons du quotidien&nbsp;: la puret&eacute; de la blancheur omnipr&eacute;sente de l&rsquo;&#339;uvre tranche radicalement avec la couleur du noir p&eacute;trole qui occupe les journ&eacute;es de travail, lui conf&eacute;rant une bienheureuse port&eacute;e optimiste. Le fait que cette blancheur soit issue de ce m&ecirc;me p&eacute;trole traduit l&rsquo;espoir d&rsquo;une lumi&egrave;re future, d&rsquo;un avenir radieux, d&rsquo;un destin &laquo;&nbsp;d&eacute;cha&icirc;n&eacute;&nbsp;&raquo;.
