Avec <em>La  folie douce<\/em>,  produit par &#8213;&nbsp;excusez du peu&nbsp;&#8213; Dimitri Tikovo&iuml;  (Placebo, Kill the Young) et Christine Verschoten (Ghinzu), l&rsquo;Elista  2006 se pr&eacute;sente sous un jour &#8213;&nbsp;ou une nuit, plut&ocirc;t&nbsp;&#8213;  nouveau, mettant en sc&egrave;ne un univers &agrave; des lieues de celui du  premier album. Sous des aspects plus d&eacute;sinvolte et d&eacute;lur&eacute;s (<em>La  folie douce<\/em>, <em>Finir  dans les journaux<\/em>)  l&rsquo;ensemble est plus sombre, d&eacute;sesp&eacute;r&eacute; (<em>Le  niveau des mers<\/em>, <em>L&acirc;chet&eacute;<\/em>)  ou &agrave; l&rsquo;inverse plein d&rsquo;espoir (<em>Nous  sommes tous une ombre<\/em>, <em>Les  hommes ordinaires<\/em>),  tour &agrave; tour oppressant (<em>Nuit  de temp&ecirc;te<\/em>)  ou urgent (<em>(J&rsquo;ai  beau tout tester) Je d&eacute;teste tout<\/em>, <em>Mon  ivresse (&Agrave; l&rsquo;autoroute A3)<\/em>).  Elista d&eacute;veloppe tout un &eacute;ventail d&rsquo;influences &agrave; travers les 11  titres du disque (on sent les Strokes sur le simple <em>D&egrave;s  le d&eacute;part d&egrave;s le d&eacute;but<\/em>,  Depeche Mode sur <em>Le  niveau des mers<\/em> ainsi que quelques groupes electro-clash &ccedil;a et l&agrave;) en d&eacute;frichant &agrave;  coups de guitares aiguis&eacute;es comme des machettes des chemins que l&rsquo;on  n&rsquo;aurait pas soup&ccedil;onn&eacute;s sur le premier album. Plus rock que pop,  tout juste <em>La  folie douce <\/em>s&rsquo;approche-t-elle  de son pr&eacute;d&eacute;cesseur par la qualit&eacute; des textes qu&rsquo;on y trouvait  d&eacute;j&agrave; et par l&rsquo;ambiance de <em>Courage <\/em>ou  de <em>Les  calanques de Cassis<\/em>.
