Depuis 4 mois qu&rsquo;on nous sert de petits  amuse-gueules frustrants, on ne va pas attendre une ligne de plus  pour passer &mdash;&nbsp;enfin&nbsp;&mdash; au plat de r&eacute;sistance&nbsp;: le son, bordel. D&egrave;s les premiers  accords de <em>Meds<\/em> (et donc de <em>Meds<\/em>,  et vice-versa), on le sent d&eacute;j&agrave;&nbsp;: on a affaire &agrave; du vrai  Placebo. Du Placebo tout en agression fr&eacute;n&eacute;tique de guitare s&egrave;che,  en tension latente, en riffs implacables, en sons plaintifs qui  pars&egrave;ment l&rsquo;arri&egrave;re-plan. L&agrave; o&ugrave; <em>Sleeping  with Ghosts<\/em> se complaisait dans une propret&eacute; m&eacute;lodique quasi-maniaque, <em>Meds<\/em> r&eacute;ussit un coup de ma&icirc;tre&nbsp;; le son est paradoxalement brut et  &eacute;toff&eacute;, tour &agrave; tour intime et grandiose. Le contact avec le groupe  est sans interf&eacute;rence, la t&ecirc;te en plein dans l&rsquo;ampli,  compl&egrave;tement r&eacute;ceptif aux &eacute;motions qu&rsquo;il crache&nbsp;:  l&rsquo;angoisse d&rsquo;<em>Infra-Red<\/em>,  la m&eacute;lancolie d&eacute;pressive de <em>Pierrot  the Clown<\/em>,  la d&eacute;ch&eacute;ance d&rsquo;<em>In  the Cold Light of Morning<\/em>,  l&rsquo;urgence de <em>Because  I Want You<\/em> ou la nostalgie de <em>Follow  the Cops Back Home<\/em>.  Le Placebo cuv&eacute;e 2006 est novateur, aventurier, partant vers de  nouvelles pistes qu&rsquo;on se pla&icirc;t &agrave; d&eacute;couvrir avec lui&nbsp;: les  violons et le piano de <em>Space  Monkey<\/em>,  la voix de VV sur <em>Meds<\/em>,  celle de Michael Stipe dans l&rsquo;aigre-doux <em>Broken  Promises<\/em> ou le passage songeur d&rsquo;instru en reverb&rsquo; satur&eacute;e de <em>Follow  the Cops Back Home<\/em>.  Le reste, le &laquo;&nbsp;classique&nbsp;&raquo;, est soign&eacute; au point que <em>Meds<\/em> approche la perfection&nbsp;; On est face au r&eacute;sum&eacute; d&rsquo;une  d&eacute;cennie de rock dans la continuit&eacute; logique des 2 premiers albums,  le retour &agrave; des sources revisit&eacute;es apr&egrave;s les exp&eacute;riences de <em>Black  Market Music <\/em>et <em>Sleeping  with Ghosts<\/em>.  &Agrave; force de travail, de remise en question et de danse sur la br&egrave;che,  Placebo s&rsquo;est enrichi en se cherchant, et au final, c&rsquo;est nous  qui nous y retrouvons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Capitol_48\u201941&Prime;_13\/03 3 ans qu&rsquo;on l&rsquo;attend, on sait, un retour aux guitares, on est au courant, la b&eacute;n&eacute;fique participation de Dimitri Tikovo&iuml;, on en a entendu parler.
